Three Generations in the ring for Beloved Shilohs

The recent NAKC Memorial Day Classic in Brookville PA is always a show studded weekend, as it hosts the ISSDC National Specialty. This year there were over 90 Shilohs in attendance, many of them showing or returning to the show ring to take part in the specialty classes.

This year ISSDC-NE members Beloved Shiloh Shepherds, of Cherry Hill NJ, attended Brookville with all four of their Shilohs, Zoey, Tylor, Sage and Finn. All the more special for them was they had three generations of Beloved Shiloh Shepherds in the show ring in Zoey, Sage and Finn. All three of them took home show wins, but more importantly, very special memories!

In Ellen's words . . .

Beloved Zoey's Legacy of Frack, "SAGE," won BEST IN SHOW in the Rarities/NAKC Brookville, PA dog show on May 24, 2008. He won over 35 other beautiful Shilohs in the largest Shiloh Shepherd showing in the country. Our special boy made us so proud.

Our youngest family member and son of Sage's, BLoved Bearpaws Best Of The Irish "FINN" won BEST BABY PUPPY at not even 10 weeks of age in the ISSDC Shiloh Specialty Show at the Brookville, PA Rarities Dog Show. One of the judges said that this little boy is going to be fabulous when he grows up. We can only wait and see but we think he already is fabulous!

Our beautiful girl, and the one that started it all for us, Beloved Zodiac's Magic of CJ's "Zoey" got BEST OF VETERANS in the ISSDC Shiloh Specialty Show at Brookville, PA. Zoey went right into "show mode" and this girl, at 7 years of age, still looks fabulous in the show ring. She brought happy tears to my eyes to be out there strutting her stuff again not to be shown up by her son or grandson, Sage and Finn respectively.

2007 ISSDC Awards

The ISSDC announed it's top awards for the 2007 show year earlier this week. The NE is well represented by both NE breeders and NE Shilohs but we first want to congratulate all those Shilohs who achieved these honors as well as thank their owners and breeders for helping to showcase their Shilohs and promote our breed.

The NE is represented by Shiloh Shepherds Caly who is also the 2006 ISSDC GV as well as the 2006 and 2007 GV for the TSSR. NS representatives from the North East are Rocky, Tarran, and Bismarck who all call the Keystone state home; Shelby and Jet who reside in Westchester County New York; and Sage who represents New Jersey.

NE breeders of these dogs include Mason Dixon Kennels, Shenandoah Shilohs, CJ's Valley View Farm, Seven Star's Shilohs; all in Pennsylvania and Mustang Shiloh Shepherds in New York.
