Welcome Tikaani!

The ISSDC NE Region extends a big welcome to a Shiloh gal already showing a lot of personality, Tikaani, a.k.a. KindredSpirit Tikaani v MtAiry! Tikaani, Ty for short, joins Shiloh Shepherds Bailey and Kodiak at Kindred Spirit Shilohs in NY. John and Monica Popaduke welcomed their new little girl home this past weekend, and Monica shared this observation with us, "She has only been here 24hrs, yet she has been called 'spitfire,' 'firecracker,' 'pistol,' 'wild-child,' well you get the idea. The girl has spunk and we couldn't be happier!"

Ty joins the Kindred Spirit Shilohs family from the recent Thunder/Frances litter born to Mt. Airy Shepherds in MD on November 29th. For those following the litter, Ty was teal collar girl — more commonly referred to by her jewel name, Larimar or Lari for short.

John and Monica enjoy showing their dogs when they can, so it's pretty safe to assume we can expect Ty to be burning up the show rings before we know it! Still there is more to life than the show ring, and Monica tells us they are hoping she will join Kodiak and Bailey as working therapy dogs.

“Who me?!?” Ty practicing her innocent look.

When the time comes, Ty will have her health testing in hopes she will be able to enter Kindred Spirit Shilohs breeding program. "We have big expectations for this girl, but most importantly we can't imagine being without her in our lives," shares Monica. "Besides her beauty and brawn, she has a personality to match. Extremely outgoing, confident, and oh so lovey."

Big welcomes and congratulations to Ty and her new family from your extended ISSDC NE Region family.

"Z" stands for Zorro!

More puppy breath coming your way as we welcome, and introduce Zorro, Azzaro's Silver Mask of Zorro. Zorro was Light Blue Boy from Azarro Shilohs first litter, their Zeus/Zeena litter born October 30, 2008 and the boy Nancy And Angelo Massaro decided to keep from the litter. Nancy admits to us that "He is a clone in every way of his daddy Zeus, even the mannerisms are the same!!!"

Nancy shares that Zorro is now 12 weeks old, 35 lbs. and very inquisitive, "I keep on saying no, no Zorro, but he just looks at me, tilts his head just like his daddy Zeus, and being so cute and cuddly I just can't get too angry at him, even if he's pulled apart all the artificial potted plants in the living room!" The word zorro is Spanish for "fox" and the fictional character Zorro is known to be much too cunning and foxlike to ever be caught. Sounds like this little Zorro is already on his way to living up to his namesake — a cunning Shiloh Shepherd, imagine that.

"I am Zorro! Look at me!"

Zorro joins the Azarro Shilohs pack which includes his daddy Zeus, his mother Zeena and Zebrina who is nearing a year old although it feels like it was just yesterday we were introducing her as a puppy. "Zebrina and Zorro are constant playmates and keep eachother busy 24/7," says Nancy. "I think she loves having a new puppy to play with and he is turning out to be such a good boy, he is such a mellow happy puppy."

Welcome Dexter!

Well, it seems some folks got awesome Christmas gifts. Jim and Pat Hartnett of Blackwood Shiloh Shepherds in PA welcomed their latest addition, Dexter home at Christmas. What a Holiday Blessing!

Big brother Corbin, Dexter, and Keys on Dexter's first night at his new home. Photo courtesy of Blackwood Shiloh Shepherds.

Dexter comes from Azzaro Shilohs Zeus/Zeena litter born October 30th. For those who followed the litter, bred by NE Region members Nancy and Angelo Massero of PA, Dexter was the puppy formerly known as blue/silver boy. Dexter, named by his human Dad Jim, joins Shiloh Shepherds Keys and Corbin who already call Blackwood Shilohs home.

Pat tells us he weighed in at 20 pounds before he came home at 8 weeks and he's acclimating well to their pack. Apparantly Keys just adores him and all is well with Corbin as well. We hear he's been taking to sleeping at human dad Jim's feet ... I do believe these dogs are born with the innate knowledge of how to wrap us around their little paws instantly!

"Go ahead take my picture, I dare you," says Dexter.

Welcome Vito ...

We are pleased to welcome, and introduce Vito to all of you! Vito lives with his mom Eva Girolamo and are part of our ISSDC NE family.

Vito, Windsong-Sleeper's Vito, is from the Bismarck/Savvi litter born January 25, 2008. Vito, who was "Pink Boy" in his litter, comes to Eva through Wendy Fullerton of Windsong/Raid the Wind who co-bred the litter with Evadne Deeds of Sleeper Shilohs, both in VA. Vito's sire Bismarck is an ISSDC NE Shiloh Shepherd, who calls Stardust Shilohs in PA home.

Vito attends obedience class weekly and is working toward his CGC. Eva says "he is definitely top in his obedience class as he is so darn smart but also just the sweetest pup ever." In that vein Vito also goes to Puppy Daycare once a week where he is the gentle giant as he is so gentle with all of the smaller dogs. "He just loves all people and animals," Eva continues.

Vito has also started on his journey into animal assisted activities at his tender age. "We've had one visit to the nursing home with myself and the trainer, and did very well. I hope to bring him back soon and get him into therapy work," shares Eva.

Good job and welcome Vito!

Introducing ...

Introducing ... the newest *Arties*. Welcome to the world and welcome to the ISSDC NE to these two special little girls.

Gary and Traci Runyon of Stardust Shilohs in SE PA introduce these girls as "the 'keepers' from their first breeding at Stardust Shilohs, Samson (NSbCH Asgard-Samson CGC, TDI, HD1) and Calypso (GVx4 abrCH G&T's Calypso Sumr Brz Msn-Dxn, CGC, TT)" born March 13, 2008. So technically I guess that makes them "second generation *Arties*."

Stardust's Wish Upon a Star, "Cinder," is a Black and Tan Dual who was Yellow Ribbon girl for those who watched the litter grow on Stardust Shilohs website. Gary and Traci say she has "a loving, calm, confident, temperament whom we have high hopes for as our next conformation and breeding female." Cinder has been out at the NAKC shows already, making her debut at the ISSDC National Specialty weekend in Brookville in May. To date she has already been awarded several Best 3-6 month Puppy In Show honors.

Stardust's Raspberry d'lite, "Razzle," is a light brown sable who was Raspberry Ribbon girl in the litter. "Razzle has striking facial features," say the Runyons "and a very outgoing, tomboy personality like her mother. Razzle is mega-e symptomatic, but doing well, and will likely train for therapy work." We hear she's quite the little outgoing girl and look forward to all the Razzle stories we're bound to hear.

Welcome Porter!

We congratulate Ridgewood Shiloh Shepherds P&C's/BT's on the latest addition to their family, Porter. Porter, Woodside BlackButte Porter-RSS, joined the Ridgewood family in April. Ridgewood Shiloh Shepherds P&C's/BT's are ISSDC NE members Christi & Peter Yonavick and Trish & Brennan Beltz, and call PA home.

Porter was the multi colored ribbon male from the recent Birch/Aspen litter at Woodside Ranch Shilohs born on February 15, 2008. Porter's full sister Zeva [from the 2007 Birch/Aspen litter] also resides at Ridgewood with Trish & Brennan.

Christi says "The Birch/Aspen litter has very special meaning to us as Aspen is a Chewie daughter and Birch is a Noah son." Chewie was Ridgewood Shiloh Shepherds P&C's/BT's first Shiloh Shepherd and they are excited about seeing her lines, through Aspen, combined with those of their boy Noah via Birch. Christi goes on to desribe Porter as having "the personality of a giant!"

Welcome Corbin to the ISSDC NE Family

The ISSDC NE is happy to welcome a new puppy to our ranks, Corbin joined the Blackwoods Shiloh Shepherds family in May when he arrived at his new home in PA. We met his sister Zebrina a few posts back, Zebrina is owned by Azzaro Shilohs also in PA.

Introducing Corbin! Photo courtesy of Blackwoods Shiloh Shepherds.

But we'll let Pat tell us about their new little boy:

The Hartnett family would like to announce the arrival of the newest member to our Shiloh family. His name is Blkwd’s Sir Corbin of Sunshine . . . a.k.a Corbin. He is the only boy out of the Harley/Sunshine litter born March 1st 2008 bred by Anita Tricoli of Sunshine Shilohs.

Keys, left, and Corbin, right, napping together. Photo courtesy of Blackwoods Shiloh Shepherds

He is just an absolute sweetheart, very loving, very social and just an all around happy puppy. He is super smart (after all he IS a Shiloh) and loves to give kisses. He and our Baby Keys just love each other. He gets his way with her always. She surrenders the toy, the water bowl and even her food just for the asking. After our recent tragedies Corbin is a blessing and a joy. We just love him to pieces.

Thanks Pat for sharing Corbin with us all.

Welcome Zebrina!

ISSDC NE welcomes another new puppy to our chapter — Zebrina joins Nancy and Angelo at Azzarro Shilohs in PA and her new Shiloh pack, Zeus and Zeena. Zebrina, "Azzaros Zebrina Golden Sunshine," is from the recent Harley/Sunshine litter born March 1, 2008 bred by Anito Pino at Sunshine Shilohs and Becky Althoff at Catoctin Shilohs.

Nancy is so very pleased with her new little girl, even if she is a bit sleep deprived from puppy training. Nancy describes Zebrina as absolutely fantastic and very smart and that Zeus and Zeena love her and have welcomed her into their domain.

Welcome Finn!

We want to take a moment to Welcome Finn to the ISSDC NE family. Finn has joined the Beloved Shilohs family and is from the recent Sage/Misty litter from Bearpaw Shilohs, both located in New Jersey.

BLoved Bearpaws Best Of The Irish, call name "FINNEGAN" — 8 weeks old. Photo courtesy of Beloved Shiloh Shepherds.

But I'll let Ellen tell you about their new boy:

I'd love to introduce you all to our newest family member......Beloved Bearpaw Best of the Irish "Finnegan" (Green Boy) from the Misty/Sage litter. Finn is 8 weeks old and now weighs 17.5 lbs. He's a bruiser and a sweetheart and one of the mellowest of the litter. He and his brother "Aqua" are the two pups I actually pulled out when Misty was giving birth. It's amazing how those two were always "special" to me although I loved them all dearly. This is and was a really amazing litter of pups. All outgoing and loving and very good looking if I do say so myself.

Having a baby is exhausting and I keep wondering if I've lost my mind entirely. And yet, when the pup goes up to Sage, his daddy, and kisses him, it touches my heart greatly. He is so much fun and such a good pup. All the Shilohs are starting to accept Finn with Zoey, his grandmother, loving him from the moment he sat down beside her.

Finn is our 3rd generation of Beloved Shilohs. With both Zoey and Sage obtaining Grand Victrix and Grand Victor titles, we are hoping that Finn will continue in his families' footsteps.

Thanks for letting me share our special boy with you. A special thank you to Nancy Schmidt from Bearpaw Shilohs who let me be so involved with this litter of ours.
